Parish Council

The Parish Council exists to advise the pastor on all policy matters that arise in parish life. It is a consultative and not a decision making body. It meets eight times a year (not in the summer or in December). The chair is elected annually. There are two methods for becoming a member of the Council. There can be parish wide nominations of candidates and elections. Or there can be appointment of representatives of all the parish organizations by the pastor. The latter method seems most suitable for our parish. Thus the chairs of the various parish committees make up the membership of the Council.  For the 2010-11 year, they are
