You are invited to two special moments of prayer offered by the Community of Sant’Egidio

Nov. 27 Cities for Life: Prayer for Prisoners on Death Row and for an End to the Death Penalty: In the spirit of the worldwide Cities for Life movement, the prayer will remember the victims of violent crimes and those condemned to death. Discussion and light refreshments to follow in the downstairs gallery.

Dec. 4 Vigil and Prayer for All Victims of Gun Violence: A candlelight vigil and prayer for all victims of gun violence, with special intentions for those who have died in Washington, DC.  The prayer will take place in the main sanctuary. In response to the proclamation of the Year of Mercy, the Community of Sant'Egidio has held a vigil for the End of Gun Violence in our city at St. Stephen's every other month since 2016.
